Rivertown Days 2010 is here!
Hastings' Rivertown Days is here, and it is time to celebrate the rivers and the community.
The annual festival, sponsored by the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, with support of the number of Hastings area businesses, will be held this Friday to Sunday, July 16 to July 18.
The festival includes sports tournaments, musical entertainment, an arts and crafts fair, sidewalk sales, a canine demonstration, bingo at the Senior Center, a lumberjack show, variety of food venues, and of course, the parade Sunday (see separate story on Page 2A).
Rivertown days buttons are $2 each and are for sale at Hastings area businesses. The sale of the buttons helps to pay for the festival, including insurance costs.
A button is needed for people 12 and older to enter the Jaycee Park and Lake Rebecca areas during the festival.
The public boat launch at Jaycee Park will closed during the festival. Other launch areas include the Hastings Marina, Hub's Landing, and Prescott Boating.
The Hastings Area Jaycees will have a beer garden in Jaycee Park from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday; noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
