Raiders rally but fall to Elk River; play for third today

The Hastings softball team had a late rally, but ended up losing to Elk River Thursday evening in Mankato. Hastings will play Forest Lake in the third-place game at 11 a.m. Friday.

Elk River led 1-0 going into the seventh inning, but Hastings managed to tie the game 1-1 on a single by Kaitlin Stark.

In the bottom of the seventh, though, Elk River scored a run to win, 2-1.

The Elks will play North St. Paul in the state championship game.
