Raiders lose opening two girls lacrosse matches

The first win for the Hastings girls lacrosse program has continued to be elusive. The team, in just its second season, lost a pair of matches to open its 2013 campaign.

Hastings lost to Hill Murray on Friday, April 26, 20-2.

The two Hastings goals were scored by Gabbie Riveness, a sophomore.

In the junior varsity match, Hill Murray won 16-1.

Maddy LaCroix, a freshman, had the Hastings goal.

On Monday, April 29, Hastings played host to East Ridge and lost, 18-2.

Goals were scored by junior Amy McNamara and senior captain Haley Berg.

The junior varsity team lost to East Ridge, 15-1. The Hastings goal was scored by Christina Gillard.

Hastings plays host to White Bear Lake at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 2. The Raiders are then at Owatonna on Saturday before returning home on Monday, May 6, for a match against Cretin-Derham Hall. The week continues with a road game Tuesday at Woodbury and a home game Wednesday.
