The Hastings girls golf team hasn't exactly enjoyed perfect golfing weather so far this season. The Raiders finally got a meet in last Thursday, April 21, at Prestwick in Woodbury.

The Raiders placed ninth out of 10 teams at the meet.

Sadie Karbo led Hastings with a 50. Caitlyn Judge (56), Hannah Hoffman (60) and Maddie Bauer (60) rounded out the scoring for the Raiders, who finished the day with a team score of 232.

Haley Jo Kimmen and Izzy Karbo also played varsity. Kimmen had a 62 and Karbo had a 64.

Hastings got another meet in on Monday at Midland Hills Country Club. Hastings had a team score of 206 and again placed ninth.

Sadie Karbo led the way with a 49. Izzy Karbo had a 51, Judge had a 52 and Hoffman had a 54. Bauer shot a 55 and Rachel Reamer had a 63.

The 26-shot improvement from the first meet to the second was exactly what coach Becky Hartung had been hoping for.

"If the girls keep improving at this rate, we will have a great midseason and a successful finish," she said.
