Raiders get win over Park, 59-56

The Hastings boys basketball team earned its second win of the season, and its first conference win, by beating Park on Tuesday night, 59-56.

The Raiders got 21 points from Darius Wilkerson and the team had two other players in double figures.

Tony Hammes finished with 14 and Josh Monjeau had 12.

Also scoring were Ellis Williams (8) and Matt Anderson (4).

Hastings beat Prescott earlier this season.

The Raiders have a 2-9 record.

Vs Roseville

Hastings lost to Roseville, the league-leaders, 77-53, on Friday.

Roseville held a 36-20 halftime lead, then outscored Hastings 41-33 in the second half.

Darius Wilkerson led Hastings in scoring with 19 points.

Tony Hammes was also in double figures with 14.

Also scoring were: Ellis Williams 9, Matt Anderson 8, Mitch Hoffman 2 and Josh Monjeau 1.


Hastings lost to East Ridge last Tuesday, 69-57.

The Raptors outscored Hastings by 10 points in the second half to pull away and get the win.

Three players were in double figures for Hastings. Wilkerson led the way in scoring with 18 points. Hammes had 13 and Williams finished with 12.

Also scoring were Monjeau 6, Aaron Stevens 5, Hoffman 2 and Anderson 1.

Up next

Hastings plays at White Bear Lake on Jan. 21.

The team is then at Hudson, Wis., on Jan. 22 before returning home to face Forest Lake at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25.
