Raiders edged in two close ones
Hastings Minnesota 745 Spiral Boulevard 55033

At the beginning of the season, Hastings girls basketball coach Mike Harp knew that wins in the Suburban East Conference would be hard to come by this year.

There were, though, some games that he knew his team had a legitimate chance to win. Two of those were this week, and in both cases, Harp's assessment was right. Hastings did, in fact, have a chance to win both games late.

Both times, though, the game went the other way.

Hastings lost to East Ridge last Tuesday, 50-49.

This Tuesday, the Raiders lost to Park, 45-40.

In the loss to the Raptors, Hastings senior Liz Keena led the way in scoring with 25 points.

Emily Daggett finished with 17 points. Mary Haglund had 5 and Kallie Dylla scored 2

Hastings held a five-point lead at halftime, but East Ridge scored 34 second-half points and snuck out with a win.

This Tuesday, in the loss to Park, Keena and Haglund again led the way in scoring. Each player had 16 points.

Also scoring were Daggett 4, Lexie Harp 2 and Dylla 2.

Hastings lost to Roseville on Friday, 70-20.

Roseville scoring 37 points in the first half and 33 in the second. Hastings had 10 in each half.

Keena had 10 points to lead the Raiders in scoring.

Haglund had 5, Dylla had 3 and Daggett had 2.
