Raiders down Park Wolfpack, 11-1

After the first inning of play on Friday, May 10, there wasn't much doubt about who was going to win the baseball game between Park and Hastings.

The Raiders jumped all over the visiting Wolfpack in the first inning, scoring six runs. Hastings added onto the lead in the second inning, then went up 10-1 in the fourth before adding a run in the fifth to end the game by the 10-run rule, 11-1.

Zach Anderson pitched for Hastings and get the Wolfpack off the basepaths. He allowed just two hits over five innings and he struck out eight.

At the plate, Hastings had a number of player step up.

Austin LaDoux had a big day, hitting a double and knocking in four runs.

Billy Biskupski had two hits, including a double. He had an RBI, too.

Matt Koch doubled and scored two runs.

Cody McNary had a hit and scored twice.

Joe Shingledecker added a hit and an RBI.

David McConnell scored two runs and had an RBI.

Jordan McTague had a hit and two runs.

Sam Schoeberl had a hit and two runs batted in.

Jared Powell added a hit, too.

In the first game of the doubleheader, Park won, 7-5.

Vs White Bear Lake

Hastings lost to White Bear Lake on May 13, 13-3.

David McConnell took the lost on the mound for the Raiders. He was relieved by Michael Klimek and Austin LaDoux.

Hastings had four hits in the game.

They were recorded by Matt Koch, Cody McNary, Joe Shingledecker and Jared Powell.

Koch, McNary and Shingledecker each had RBI.

Vs Red Wing

Hastings beat Red Wing on May 11, 2-1.

Hastings got on the scoreboard thanks to an RBI single by Biskupski.

Red Wing tied the score and the game remained scoreless until the fourth inning.

In the top of the fourth, Jordan McTague led off for Hastings and he eventually scored on a single by Koch.
