Raiders beat Forest Lake, White Bear Lake in boys tennis

Hastings cruised to a 6-1 win over Forest Lake this week.

The Raiders got wins at No. 2 singles by Danny Steiner (6-4, 6-1), No. 3 singles by Steven Roach (6-0, 6-3) and No. 4 singles by Alex Rudh (6-4, 6-3).

In doubles action, Hastings swept the top three spots.

Alex Zuzek and Craig Nielsen won at No. 1 doubles, 6-0, 6-0.

At second doubles, Ben Klimek and Carson Whyle won 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Killian Konrady and Rob Troje won at third doubles, 7-5, 6-1.

Hastings is now 7-9 overall and 5-4 in Suburban East Conference action.

Vs White Bear Lake

Hastings beat White Bear Lake on May 6, 4-3.

Austin Houska fell at No. 1 singles in a close match, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6.

Steiner won at second singles, 0-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Roach won at third singles, 6-2, 6-2.

Cole Pottinger lost at fourth singles, 6-1, 7-5.

The top doubles team of Zuzek and Nielsen won 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.

Klimek and Whyle lost a close one at second doubles, 6-0, 5-7, 7-5.

Konrady and Troje won at third doubles, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.

Vs East Ridge

Hastings lost to East Ridge on May 8, 6-1.

The lone Hastings win came at third doubles where Whyle and Klimek won, 6-2, 7-6.
