Hastings competed at last week's White Bear Lake Invitational at Dellwood and placed sixth out of 21 teams.

Sam Otto led the way for Hastings with a 79, which placed him 10th out of 126 golfers.

Nick Tusa had an 82 that placed him 16th.

Matthew Radke had an 85 and Jacob Cooper had an 86 to round out the scoring. Mike Dittrich had a 90 and Sean Eglington had a 91.

Hastings then competed at a tournament in Brainerd at The Preserve. The Raiders had a 330.

Radke led Hastings with a 77. Otto had a 79, Tusa had an 84 and Eglington and Cole Carrigan each had 88s. Cooper had a 91.

On Friday and Saturday, Hastings played in the prestigious Tri-State tournament at Edinburgh U.S.A. The top 24 teams in the area played at the meet, and Hastings took 17th.

Radke had an 84 and an 80 over the two rounds for a total of 164, which was just 13 shots behind the winner.

"I was extremely impressed with the way he played the course," coach Pete McGinnis said. "The yardage was at 6,600 yards. As an eighth-grader, to play his way around like that was great to see. He did well setting himself up for his approaches to the green. Day No. 2 was played in the rain and he found a way to go one-under through the first seven holes."

Tusa had an 86 and an 85.

"Nick continues to be consistent on the course and played the long par 4s well," McGinnis said.

Cooper had a tough start through the first six holes, but came back strong to shoot an 87.

Carrigan, Eglington and Otto also played for Hastings.
