Police report preview - March 2 to March 8

Here is this week's police report. The entire report can be found Page 4A of this week's print edition.

Officers were called to a store in the 1700 block of Market Boulevard at 2:12 a.m. on the report of a man using merchandise in a store that he hadn't paid for. He was putting bandages on a wound.

The man was found to be incoherent and erratic. He appeared to be under the influence of a substance and ultimately it was determined he had a warrant.

He was arrested on that warrant and booked into the Dakota County Jail.

• A neighbor dispute was reported in the 700 block of Fifth Street. The dispute stemmed from the use of a shared driveway. There has been an ongoing escalation of verbal taunts between the parties, according to the police report.

• Theft was reported in the 1700 block of Market Boulevard at 8:52 p.m. It is suspected that a person had taken dipping sauce for a pizza without paying for it. The estimated value of the sauce is 59 cents.

• Carpeting was stolen from an unoccupied home in the 300 block of Tiffany Drive.

New carpeting had been installed in the home, which was for sale.

Nothing else was taken from the residence.

The value of the carpet was placed at about $300.
