Police report preview - Feb. 1 to Feb. 8

• Officers responded to the Veterans Home on the report of two intoxicated males who were fighting.

The call came in at 9:21 p.m.

Officers located the two men. One of the men was transported to detox, but only after he became combative and fought with officers. He was arrested for obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct.

The other man went to the emergency room because he was unconscious due to his state of intoxication.

• Two juvenile females were found to be under the influence of alcohol at a school dance. One 15-year-old and one 16-year-old were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were released to their parents.

• A man with a handgun was seen behind Sears in Hastings. It turns out the man was an employee of Smart Security, located next door to Sears, who went outside to smoke a cigarette.

The man had a permit to carry the pistol.
