A 34-year-old Hastings man reported fraudulent activity on his checking account July 5. According to the report, charges had been made in California using the man's account information. $706 worth of products were purchased using his account.
Keith Walter Kinstler, 51, of Hastings was arrested after he reportedly hit his roommate with a hammer. The incident was reported at 8:36 p.m. July 6 in the 2900 block of Riverwood Drive.
Staff at Hastings High School reported a student had brought a knife to school the morning of July 9.
Roy Louis Genevich, 57, of Hastings was found laying on the side of the road in the area of Fourth and River streets at 12:30 a.m. July 9. It was determined he had tripped on the curb while intoxicated.
A male was reported to have potentially stolen a donut from the Holiday station at 8:42 p.m. July 10. The suspect allegedly was seen putting three donuts in a bag, but only two were present when they were brought to the register.
