The Hudson Police Department is warning the public to be on the lookout for a man who stopped his vehicle and engaged a Hudson High School girl in conversation while wearing no pants.

Police Chief Marty Jensen reported that the 15-year-old girl was walking home from school Wednesday afternoon when the newer, dark blue SUV-type vehicle drove past her at least twice and then stopped near her on Frear Street.

The driver, described as a white male in his mid-30s, asked her for directions to a Hudson Raider soccer game. When the girl looked inside the vehicle she saw that he was wearing no pants and was fondling himself.

She ran home and told her parents about the incident. One of her parents called the police.

The girl said the man was wearing mirrored sunglasses and had dark hair. She described his hair style as a buzz cut.

The incident happened at 3 p.m. The girl didn't get the vehicle's license plate numbers. She said it might have been a Ford Escape.

The girl first noticed the vehicle drive past her when she was on Laurel Avenue.

Jensen asked for anyone who has seen the vehicle, or has information about it or driver, to call the Hudson Police Department at (715) 386-4771.

Women, especially, should be careful if they are approached by a stranger in a vehicle, Jensen said.

"We want to make sure that people are aware of their surroundings and what is going on," he said.
