Nathan T. Conner, age 93, longtime resident of Hastings, passed away peacefully Feb. 18, in Oceanside, Calif.

Nat was preceded in death by Charlotte, his beloved wife of 64 years; his parents; brother Gere (M.I.A. in World War II); and great-grandson, Archer.

He is survived by his four children, Gary (Darby), Carol (Donald) Vogt, Bruce (Sharon), Cathy (Michael) O'Brien; sister, Lois; 16 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren .

Nat retired from the Hastings Post Office after 35 years of service. He also worked part-time for 20 years as a Bridge Tender on the Hastings Railroad Bridge. His most gratifying achievement was his 4 years of active duty (World War II) and 35 years Reserve Duty in the U. S. Navy. Nat retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer.

After retirement, Nat and Char moved to Oceanside, Calif., where they lived a retirement most people can only dream of.

Nat was a shining example of a "Life Well Lived" and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Private family services will be held.
