Mudhens and Aces to play July 4 in Red Wing

The Miesville Mudhens won two of three games during a busy stretch last week.

The Mudhens beat the Minneapolis Angels in seven innings, 12-1, on Thursday.

The Mudhens then put another dozen on the board in a 12-5 win over Rosetown on Friday.

Then, on Sunday, the Mudhens lost at home to Dundas, 3-2.

In the game against the Minneapolis Angels, Josh Loewen got the win on the mound.

Andrew Werner hit a home run for the Mudhens, who scored nine runs in a wild sixth inning.

On Friday against Rosetown, Werner got the win on the mound and hit a home run, his third of the season. His record on the mound for the Mudhens is 3-1.

Finally, on Sunday, the Mudhens got a strong pitching performance from Luke Rasmussen, but couldn't beat the Dundas Dukes.

Dundas scored single runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings.

Miesville countered with two runs in the bottom of the eighth, but couldn't plate the tying run.

Miesville plays at 2 p.m. July 4 at Red Wing. They are at Cannon Falls Sunday, July 5, for a 2 p.m. game and then return home for an 8 p.m. game Tuesday, July 7, against Pine Island.
