Minnesota committees OK North Dakota coal power

ST. PAUL -- Two Minnesota Legislature committees overwhelmingly voted Tuesday to allow the state's utilities to buy electricity made from North Dakota coal.

The two votes indicate the bill likely will pass the full House and Senate this spring, probably avoiding a threatened North Dakota lawsuit.
