Martin Zellar to headline second Hastings Music Festival

Get out your lawn chairs, your sunscreen and sandals. The second annual Hastings Music Festival is officially on. This year's festival will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the Little Log House Pioneer Village south of Hastings.

The musical acts have been booked, and fans of Twin Cities music will no doubt recognize many of the names. The headliner is Martin Zellar, who helped start the band The Gear Daddies.

Tim Mahoney, the Midlife Chryslers and Select 3 are also on the bill.

Select 3 features Hastings graduate Patrick Sieben.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Hastings Family Service. Last year, $11,500 was donated following the first festival, and organizers are hoping that donation amount will grow in 2010.

Advance tickets will go on sale soon for $10. Tickets will be $15 at the gate.

Food, beer and a silent auction will also be part of the festivities.

To make a donation in advance, send it to Hastings Music Festival, 1807 Market Blvd. #240, Hastings, MN 55033.
