Mark Omann is new owner of Hastings Culver's
Hastings Minnesota 745 Spiral Boulevard 55033

The Hastings Culver's restaurant, located next to Cub Foods along General Sieben Drive, has a new owner.

A Chanhassen resident, Mark Omann has worked for Culver's corporate side for the past nine years as a regional franchise partner. As of June 1, he started down a new career path - one that fulfills a longtime dream.

"I see great opportunities here in Hastings," he said. "... It's always been my dream to own (a Culver's store)."

Omann runs the Hastings location now with his wife, Cindy. Cindy has her own full-time job, but helps out part-time at Culver's with administrative work.

Community involvement is a priority for Omann. The Culver's here started working with local organizations last year, he said, and he wants to make sure that involvement continues.

"I'm looking for opportunities to partner up with any organizations here in the community that I can help raise money for," he said.

His desire to help stems from his belief that a business that wants to do well in a community needs to find a way to give back and partner with the community. If the community supports the business, he said, the business should support the community.

Omann said he's looking forward to many years here.

"I look forward to the opportunity to serve the community here and living out my dream in Hastings," he said.
