Margaret Mae Nelson, 66

Margaret Mae (Schultz) Nelson of St. Anthony, Minn., formerly of St. Anthony Park, and Hastings, died suddenly on Friday, Jan. 17, at HCMC.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1947, in Hibbing, Minn. Since enduring a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2004, Margaret transformed, with determination and the grace of God, her remaining years into a steady devotion of family and a host of friends. With a dedication to faithful service, she volunteered in the St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice Program and Meals on Wheels. Margaret continues her spirit of giving by donating her organs through Life Source.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Fred J. and Beatrice Schultz; and rescue kitty, Lizzie.

Margaret is survived by beloved daughter, Erica M. Nelson (Nick Froze); and siblings, Frederick J. Schultz, Mary Ann Schultz, and Thomas (Margaret) Schultz; cherished niece, Kate Schultz; also her four-pawed family, Mimi and Nick.

Special thank you to the staffs of St. Joseph's Hospital and HCMC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1 Lourdes Place, Minneapolis. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.
