Man drives truck into open water on Lake Isabel in Hastings at about 4 a.m.

A truck partially sunk on Lake Isabel in Hastings early Monday morning.

Apparently a man had been out for a leisurely drive on the lake when he drove into open water on the lake's east side.

The initial call came in at about 7 a.m. when the vehicle was partially submerged.

The vehicle's owner was eventually contacted. He said he was driving on the lake three to four hours previous to the call and that he'd get the vehicle out later.

As of Tuesday morning, the truck was still partially submerged in the shallow lake.
