Little Log House Antique Power Show is July 23-25
The 20th annual Little Log House Antique Power Show will be held this weekend - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 23-25.
The show features living history enactments, a daily parade, pancake breakfast, tractor and truck pull, musical entertainment and the second annual Minnesotans Go-pher Cockshutt Regional meeting.
Daily events include living enactments, re-enactments by the Cannon Old West Society Saturday and Sunday, a parade at 11 a.m., pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Primitive camping is available on site. No reservations are necessary.
A tractor and truck pull will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24. The classes re-posted at www.littleloghouseshow.com.
Attractions at the village include the historic St. Boniface Church, the Spiral Bridge replica, threshing demonstrations, gas engines display, antiques tractors and other farm equipment. Historic buildings include a one-room schoolhouse, jail, bank, millinery and dress shop, blacksmith shop, and fully stocked general store. An added feature are the beautiful flower gardens of Sylvia Bauer throughout the village.
Entertainment includes the Squires Band from noon to 4 p.m. Friday and Sunday; and CW Von Arx & the Highway 3 from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $10 per adult, with a weekend pass costing $20. Those 12 and younger are admitted free.
The Little Log House is located six miles south of Hastings on Highway 61, then east one mile on 220th Street to Michael Avenue.
