Likes and Friends are in concert Sunday
Hastings resident Pete Likes (and friends) will present a concert of their latest CD, "Glorious ... Still," at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 202 W. Eighth St.
The "friends" include Judy Kitzman, Caroyl Robinson, Lynn Dewall, Chris Falteisek, and Sharri Lohmann.
The CD includes such selections as "You Are Near," "Beautiful Saviour," "All Glory Loud and Honor," "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," " Ave Maria," "The Lord is My Shepherd" (written by Falteisek) and "The Lord's Prayer."
The accompanists are Robinson, Dewall, Neil Matsch, Gary McAlpin, John O'Brien, and Lawellin. Chorus members are Marty Cullen, David Eckes, Lorraine Metzger, Shirley Munger, Kristine Ball and John O'Brien.
Following the concert, a spaghetti dinner, prepared by Likes' brother, Joe Sherry, will be served. People who stay for the dinner are asked to give a donation, with all donations going to Hastings Family Service.
The CDs are $10 each and are available at Sheer Attraction, from Likes at 437-2703, in the Seton church office and at Sunday's concert.
