To the editor,
I am writing this letter of support for Angie McGinnis as a candidate for school board. I have been very fortunate to teach, coach and raise my family in this great community. In that time, I have had the privilege of knowing Angie both personally and professionally.
Angie McGinnis has been an outstanding leader in the community. I’m very pleased with the direction that she is leading the school board and her ability to listen to her constituents has always been appreciated. She is a tireless worker, passionate volunteer, motivated board member and caring person that have made community involvement one of her top priorities.
Angie McGinnis was an award-winning classroom teacher, but she would be the first to tell you that the relationships she built with her students and families far outweigh any award that she ever won. Her ability to listen and build relationships with so many different people makes her an exceptional school board candidate.
Angie has now taken on the job as the Director of the St. Philip’s Learning Center and will relish the opportunity to work with preschoolers in Hastings and provide them with the tools to be successful in elementary school.
Hastings has a great opportunity to re-elect Angie McGinnis. Angie has proven time and again through her leadership roles and commitment to the Hasting community that she is ready to continue on the board and lead with honesty, integrity and the desire to do what is best for School District 200.
