Leander Reinardy, 69
Leander Reinardy, age 69, of Hastings, died Jan. 10, 2010, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
Leander was born Feb. 27, 1940, in New Trier to Mathias and Magdalene (Beissel) Reinardy. He served in the Army, and worked as a forklift operator at Con Agra.
Leander enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arnold.
Leander is survived by his children, Keith Reinardy, Melissa (Darek) Pugh, and Brad (Elisha) Reinardy, all of Hastings; grandchildren, Layna, Samantha, Raelyn, and Carter; former wife, Vivian of Hastings; brothers, Ollie (Marilyn) Reinardy, and Gene (Joanne) Reinardy, both of Hastings; sisters, Delores Knoll, Lorraine (Arnie) Kimmes, Rose Huberty, and Monica (Glen) Snyder, all of Hastings; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and one hour prior to the Thursday service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Reinardy, Randy Knoll, Rick Snyder, David Huberty, Ryan Reinardy, and Joe Kimmes.
