James R. Reichling, Sr., 86
Loving husband and beloved father, James Raymond Reichling, Sr., passed away peacefully on Feb. 20.
Jim, 86, of Lawrenceville, Ga., was born July 10, 1927, in Hastings Minn., and has been a resident of the Atlanta area for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Madeline Reichling; a sister Lucille Rodney; and son-in-law, Joe Farris.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Caroyl; and sister Marge Voelker of Hastings, Minn.; and eight children: Marsha Farris of Jefferson, Ga., Kim (Kathleen) Reichling of St. Simons Island, Ga., Tom (Becky) Reichling of Dahlonega, Ga., Robyn (Jim Trotochaud) Reichling of Athens, Ga., Gerald "Bucky" (Patricia) Reichling of Atlanta Ga., John (Patricia) Reichling of Suwanee, Ga., Nancy (Mike) Luttrell of Dacula, Ga., and James "Will" Reichling, Jr. of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Jim was known as "Papa" to his 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He graduated from St. John's Preparatory School in Collegeville, Minn. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp (USAF). He went on to attend the University of MN. He was a Sales Account Executive for the Industrial Division of the 3M Company, St. Paul, Minn., for 41 years, retiring in 1992.
Funeral services were held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 319 Grayson Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA., at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Deacon A.B. King officiated.
Tom M. Wages Funeral Services, LLC, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
The family received friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
