Highway 316 resurfacing project begins June 8
Motorists on Highway 316 in Hastings will encounter traffic delays beginning June 8 when the Minnesota Department of Transportation begins resurfacing the road between Highway 61 and 240th Street in Hastings.
Highway 316 will remain open but a flagging operation, along with a pilot car that motorists will follow through the construction zone, will be in place and will cause traffic delays.
MnDOT encourages motorists to use Highway 61 as an alternate route.
Crews will work from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. No weekend work is scheduled inside the Hastings City limits.
The existing pavement is showing wear, and this preventative maintenance project will add a surface on top of the existing pavement to extend the life of the road.
