Henry nominated for St Mary's University outstanding senior award
Saint Mary's University biology major Aaron Henry, son of John and Kathleen Henry of Hastings, was nominated for the university's Outstanding Senior Male Award.
For the past 46 years, Saint Mary's has honored a male and a female senior who have demonstrated the ideals of scholarship, character, leadership, service to colleagues and the university community, as well as genuine concern for the needs of others.
Henry has demonstrated these qualities through his involvement with Biology Club, Peace and Justice Club, Students Organizing Sustainability, the Lasallian Honors Program, Delta Epsilon Sigma (National Scholastic Honor Society), and Beta Beta Beta (National Biological Honor Society). He has also been involved in many theatrical productions including All's Well that Ends Well, Machinal, Guys and Dolls, SPlaSH, Our Town, and Hamlet. He has competed in intramural sports and was a resident assistant in Saint Joseph's Hall. After graduation he plans to obtain a master's degree and study emerging infectious disease epidemiology.
