Hawks win consolation championship

The Hastings Hawks won the consolation championship at the Dewey Tauer Tournament in Red Wing last weekend.

"Overall it was a very good weekend," player/manager Adam Barta said.


The Hawks had a tough game on day one of the tournament last Thursday, losing 5-4 to New Richmond. Hastings played without a handful of its starters and had multiple errors that allowed New Richmond to win, even though Hastings out-hit New Richmond 10-5.
