Hastings woman injured in motorcycle crash over the weekend

A woman from Hastings and a man from Prescott, Wis., were both transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul Saturday evening for treatment of injuries suffered when their motorcycle crashed.

Daniel Hanken, 51, was airlifted from the scene on Hwy. 35 near 1220th Street in the Town of Oak Grove. A passenger on Hanken's motorcycle, Barbara Arntzen, 55, of Hastings, was transported by ground ambulance to Regions.No information was immediately available Monday morning on their respective medical conditions.Pierce County sheriff's deputies were notified of the crash at 9:45 p.m., Aug. 10th.Sgt. Pete Koch said in a press release that Hanken was southbound on Hwy. 35 when he lost control and ran into the west ditch. The motorcycle tipped, ejecting both riders.
The accident remains under investigation.Prescott police, fire and ambulance personnel assisted as did Red Wing ambulance personnel.
