Hastings school board will have a new look; three incumbents don't file for re-election
The Hastings Independent School District 200 School Board will have a new look after this fall's election. Three of the incumbents, whose terms expire this year - Chair Leslie Nielsen, Amy Peltier and Brad Stoneberg - did not file for re-election.
The filing period closed Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 16.
Incumbent Dan Greil did file for another term. There are five other candidates for the four openings on the board. They are Lisa Hedin, former school board member Vincent O'Brien, Jerry Baum, Russ Rohloff and Kyle Latch.
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The polling places for this year's elections have been set as follows: Precinct 1, Hope Lutheran Church, 16998 Michael Ave.; Precinct 2, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 400 W. Ninth St.; Precinct 3, United Methodist Church, 615 W. 15th St.; Precinct 4, St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 1401 W. 15th St.; Precinct 5, Denmark Town Hall, 14008 90th St. S.; Precinct 6, Marshan Town Hall, 19497 205th St. E.; Precinct 7, Vermillion City Hall, 105 E. Main St., Vermillion; Precinct 8, Ravenna Town Hall, 20425 Red Wing Blvd.; Precinct 9, Miesville City Hall, 14221 240th St. E., Miesville; Precinct 10, Hampton City Hall, 5265 238th St. E., Hampton.
