Hastings police transport man to detox who had .54 blood-alcohol content

An intoxicated male would not get out of a person's vehicle, and police were called to the 2100 block of Vermillion Street on Friday, Dec. 21.

The caller said the man was too drunk the night before, and he invited him home to sleep it off.

The man woke up and drank a bottle of tequila in the morning. When he was taken back to the 2100 block of Vermillion Street, he wouldn't get out of his friend's car, and police were called.

The man had a blood-alcohol-content of .54 at 9:43 a.m.

He was transported to detox.
