Hastings man arrested twice in five days for DWI

Hastings police officers arrested the same man for driving while intoxicated in a five-day span last week. Officers responded the report of a disturbance in the 400 block of 17th Street West on Nov. 22. They located a man who appeared to be intoxicated. The man failed field sobriety tests and was later arrested and booked on the probable case charged of driving while intoxicated. The man is Michael Anthony Bondeson of Hastings.

Later in the week, at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 27, A Hastings officer on routine patrol along Vermillion Street was passed by a vehicle. The officer noticed the vehicle had a cracked windshield and that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. A traffic stop was initiated and the man inside, Bondeson, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI.
