Hastings loses SEC matchups against East Ridge, Stillwater

A Suburban East Conference win continues to elude the Hastings girls basketball team. On Tuesday night, Hastings slipped to 0-6 on the season with a 43-28 loss to Stillwater.

The Ponies are now 1-5 in SEC play.

Hastings was led in scoring by Hanna Norman, who finished with 9 points. Also scoring were: Hanah Martin, 4; Paige Ahrens, 1; Nicole Hollar, 5; Lauren Thomas, 2; and Ashley Bayne, 3.

Vs East Ridge

Hastings lost to East Ridge on Friday night, 72-46.

Hastings had two players in double figures. Norman finished with a team-high 17 and Lily Arvidson had 10. Martin had 4. Ahrens, Hollar and Thomas each had 5.

Chad Richardson

Chad Richardson is the news director for RiverTown Multimedia. He was the publisher of four RiverTown publications until 2016, when he was named news director. He was previously general manager of the Farmington Independent and Rosemount Town Pages from 2000 to 2007. He worked at the Hastings Star Gazette from 1996 to 2000 as a photographer and reporter. He also worked as a photographer and writer at the Pope County Tribune in Glenwood.
