Hastings gymnasts fall to Stillwater

After back-to-back meets in which everything fell into place for the Hastings gymnastics team, the Raiders had a bit of a setback last week. Hastings lost to Stillwater, 133.75-130.475. The score was four points lower than Hastings' season best a week earlier.

"We had a difficult meet," Hastings coach Megan Latch said. "We are struggling with some injuries and sick girls."

Still, the Raiders had some solid performances throughout the night.

Junior Sophia Kneen placed second on vault with an 8.6

Jamie Becker placed second on bars with a 7.95 and Kneen took third with a 7.9

Jamie Becker placed second on beam with a 8.975.

"We are really hoping for a 9 (for Jamie) this week," Latch said. "She has been working very hard all season to get that score."

Alison Kromer placed third on floor with an 8.525

Becker placed second in the all-around with a 33.35 and Alison Kromer took third with a 32.55.
