Hastings graduate plays in first St. Scholastica women's hockey game
2010 Hastings graduate Jordy Klimek played in the first women's hockey game for the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth last week.
Her teammates from Hastings High School were able to stop by and watch her play, as they were in Duluth for a pre-season scrimmage.
St. Scholastica won the game, 3-0.
The Saints lost their second game, 5-4, to Concordia College of Moorhead.
Klimek is a freshman at St. Scholastica.
She is majoring in exercise physiology and is the daughter of Elaine and John Klimek of Hastings.
Her class of 2010 teammate, Mackenzie Holm, also saw her first collegiate action recently. She is playing for the University of St. Thomas, which lost a pair of games to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point over the weekend.
