Hastings girls golfers get four meets in

The Hastings girls golf team has been busy lately. The Raiders have played in four meets over the past week.

Here’s how they all went:

On Tuesday, May 6, Hastings play at Prestwick in a Suburban East Conference meet. The Raiders took eighth place.

Izzy Karbo led Hastings with a 41. Clare Baldwin had a 44, Lauren Mattmiller had a 48 and Nicole Neuman shot a 57.

On Saturday, Hastings played the 18-hole Rosemount Invitational at Emerald Greens.

Mattmiller had a 93 to lead the way. Karbo had a 95, Sara Pevonka a 99 and Clare Baldwin shot a 101.

On Monday, May 12, Hastings played a rescheduled match at the Hastings Country Club. Karbo had a 47, Neuman had a 53, Baldwin had a 60 and Neuman had a 60. Hastings placed ninth at the meet.

Later on Monday, Hastings traveled to North Oaks to play at a tournament hosted by Mounds View.

Karbo led Hastings with a 52. Mattmiller had a 54, Pevonka had a 54 and Baldwin shot a 55 for a ninth-place finish. Also playing varsity were Neuman (60) and Nena Krick (63).
