Hastings Ford will be hosting the fall Drive 4UR School from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16.

For every person who takes a spin in a new Ford during the Drive 4UR School event, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Hastings High School Choirs. After a qualifying test drive in another eligible Ford vehicle, participants have an opportunity to earn an additional $10 (up to $30 per person) for the Hastings High School Choirs by taking a spin in the 2013 Escape. The Escape Bonus Drive can increase total donations from Ford to the Hastings Band Boosters from $6,000 to $8,000.

Hastings Ford has also teamed up with Hastings TLC in providing a free meal for all who attend. Hastings TLC is a community-based, non-profit organization that provides ongoing education, support and mentoring to individuals and families in crisis.

"It's great to be hosting the Drive 4UR School event for the Hastings High School Choirs" said Doug Erickson, owner of Hastings Ford. "By sponsoring events like Drive 4UR School, Ford continues to bless the students of our community."

Hastings High School Choir event chair Mike Ventry said, "What a great opportunity we have with Ford Motor Company and Hastings Ford to raise funds locally for Hastings High School choir members. Every year, choir members are required to fundraise for performance expenses. Drive 4UR School allows individual choir members to earn up to $30 for every qualified driver that takes a test drive on their behalf. Family and friends wanting to support their favorite choir member should obtain a Drive 4UR School business card from that student."

To participate in this free event, visit Hastings Ford located at Highway 61 south, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The event is limited to one driver per household, and drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid license to participate.
