After a scoreless second period, Roseville opened the scoring early in the third period with a goal at 2:12.

Hastings countered with another goal by Claussen, assisted by Natalie Simons and Radke. That goal, at 9:31, made the score 3-2.

Just 10 seconds later, though, Roseville added a goal to go up 4-2.

Roseville scored again just 40 seconds later, taking a 5-3 lead.

Hastings added a goal by Simons, assisted by Claussen and Radke.

Roseville then added a late goal and went on to win 6-3.

Brooke Weber made 15 saves on 21 shots.

Hastings had 25 shots on goal.

"We came out and played very hard against a highly ranked team," coach Jeff Corkish said. "We controlled a lot of the game in their offensive zone, but could not get the quality chances that we needed to put them on their heels and tip the momentum into our favor. They always seemed to come back and get a bounce to lie in front of the net ending in a goal for them."

Hastings is now 4-5-3 in league play.
