Girls hockey: Raiders rebound with big win over Blaze

Apparently that tough stretch is over for the Hastings girls hockey team.

After starting goalie Stefanie Wical got hurt during the Mounds View game, Hastings struggled through a tough stretch of games against very good teams and went 0-4-1 during five games.

Wical is back.

And so are the Raiders.

Hastings beat Burnsville, the No. 15-ranked team in the state, Tuesday, 3-2.

Jordy Klimek, Mackenzie Holm and Courtney Boucher each scored goals.

Assists were made by Jordy Klimek, Mackenzie Klimek, Boucher and Robbie Scherer.

Hastings is 13-6-3 on the season.

Vs Roseville

Hastings lost to Roseville Saturday, 6-2. Roseville is the No. 1-ranked team in the state.

Scoring for Hastings were Brittney Huneke and Boucher. Assists were made by Natalie Simons, Scherer and Ali Speedling.

Danielle Meier made 21 saves for Hastings.
