The season ended last Wednesday for the Hastings girls basketball team.

Hastings lost to Farmington in the opening round of the Class 4A, Section 1 tournament, 49-36.

Farmington held a 27-21 lead at halftime, then outscored the Raiders 22-15 in the second half to pull away.

Hastings was led in scoring by Emily Daggett and Elizabeth Keena.

Daggett, a sophomore, had 11 points and Keena, also a sophomore, had 10.

Also scoring were Cortney Cadwell (6), Mary Haglund (6) and Delaney Marier (3).

Hastings finished the season with a 6-20 overall record, with wins coming over Red Wing, Winona, Henry Sibley, Farmington, Park and Cretin-Derham Hall.

Farmington went on to beat Rochester Century on Saturday, 59-53, and the Tigers will now face Rochester John Marshall in the section title game Friday.
