Garry Wayne Kitzmann, age 58, of River Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at his home.
Garry was born on Jan. 18, 1951, in Hastings, Minn., the son of Walter and Anna (Hopp) Kitzmann.
He was a graduate of Hastings High School. Garry worked as a crane operator and welder for Meyer Machine in Hager City from 1971-1978 and later worked for Gerdau Ameristeel as a crane operator from 1978 to present.
Garry married Suzanne M. Prochnow on April 22, 2006, in River Falls.
He was an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman and enjoyed writing poetry and gardening.
Garry was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church, River Falls.
Garry is survived by his wife, Suzanne Kitzmann, River Falls; three sons, Jeffrey (Sandra) Kitzmann, Red Wing, Minn., Garrett (Jessica) Kitzmann, Red Wing, Michael (Christina) Kitzmann, Red Wing; four grandchildren, Mitchell, Marshall, Leigha and Nathan; mother, Anna Kitzmann, Hastings; two brothers Ronald Kitzmann, Hastings, Gerald (Sally) Kitzmann, Hastings; two sisters, Annette Berdahl, Oakdale, Minn., Jeannie (Richard) Doffing, Frederic, Wis.
Garry's father, Walter, preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, River Falls. Fr. Gerald Harris will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of service.
