Free quilting classes offered Fridays in March at library
If you've ever wanted to try the art of quilting, but thought it might be too difficult, here's a chance to learn. Local quilter Joy Pelzman is teaching a series of classes at Pleasant Hill Library March 4, March 11, March 18 and March 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Come to the first class and get some ideas for a project. Joy will help you decide how much fabric and other supplies are needed. For the rest of the classes, bring your sewing machine and begin quilting. Joy will help with all types of projects and answer any questions that arise. Even if you have been quilting for a while, all skill levels are invited to the classes. Classes are free, but registration is required. Call Pleasant Hill library at 651-438-0200 or register online at www.dakotacounty.us/library beginning Feb. 18.
