Four big performers planned for Jaycee Park music stage
Four big shows will highlight the musical entertainment during Rivertown Days at the Jaycee Park music stage July 16 to July 18.
The Tim Sigler Band performs from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 16.
Sigler has been playing music to thousands of people throughout the Midwest for most of his adult life. With more than 200 shows year and large play list, he has become the top drawing country act in Minnesota.
He is backed by some of the best musicians in the Twin Cities. Some of the country selection will include made popular by Johnny Cash, George Strait, Garth Brooks and Keith Urban.
There are two big shows scheduled for Saturday, July 17 - Still Rockin' Band from 3:30 p.m. p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Spirit of the Radio from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Spirit of the Radio is a live radio rock concert with special tribute to the radio music of the 1970s to the 1990s. With soaring melodies and a stylish signature, Pat Balder leads an enchanting and reminiscent retrospective of the history's behind radio's in promoting mainstream classics.
The Still Rockin' Band is a classic rock band which has been entertaining audiences for more than seven years. Sarah Sprinthall is the lead person for the five-person group and also adds vocal punch when necessary. Members have more than 125 years of musical experience.
Concluding the musical entertainment is the Riverside Swing Band from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 18. This group of musicians offers music for everyone from classic Sinatra and Glen Miller to modern day swing, Soul and Motown.
The group is a six-piece swing band - guitar, vocals, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, upright bass, and drums - but can change the instruments for the customer's selection.
The band is based on the style of the 30s and 40s and plays songs from Glenn Miller Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington, but also plays Michael Jackson, James Brown, the Beatles and Mo Town. Requests are welcome.
