First National Bank in Hastings robbed at gunpoint
First National Bank in Hastings was robbed on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at approximately 5:30 p.m.
A man entered the bank with a gun and made a demand for money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Nobody was injured in the ordeal.
The Hastings Police Department is working with the FBI on the case, and security footage of the incident may be released later Wednesday.
The bank is located at North Frontage Road and Pleasant Drive.
A press release from the FBI said the following:
"The robber approached bank tellers and demanded cash. A black hand gun was displayed and the robber verbally threatened the bank tellers. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.
"The robber's face and hands were fully covered. He wore a black and red coat, a winter style hat with ear flaps, old blue jeans and black shoes. He was further described as a male, approximately 5'10" to 6' feet tall, race unknown, and age unknown.
"If anyone has any information regarding this robbery, they are requested to contact the FBI at (612) 376-3200 or the Hastings Police Department, 651 248-7928."
