Final Hastings Sings qualifying round is July 11 at Valley Chevrolet

Hastings Sings is a vocal competition open to amateur singers regardless of where you live.  The last qualifying round is this Thursday, July 11, at 7 p.m. Valley Chevrolet in Hastings.  The total prize payout this year is $2,500.  Complete information on the competition can be found at: www.hastingssings.com.
There is a teenage division for ages 13 through 19 and an adult division for those ages 20 and over.  The semifinals will be held July 17 and 18 and the finals on July 21.  You must sing at a qualifying round to have a chance to move on to the semifinals.

Chad Richardson is the news director for RiverTown Multimedia. He was the publisher of four RiverTown publications until 2016, when he was named news director. He was previously general manager of the Farmington Independent and Rosemount Town Pages from 2000 to 2007. He worked at the Hastings Star Gazette from 1996 to 2000 as a photographer and reporter. He also worked as a photographer and writer at the Pope County Tribune in Glenwood.
