Edward A Emery, 50

Edward A. Emery, 50, of Hastings, died Saturday, Feb. 22.

He was born June 22, 1963, in Wells, Minn., to Gerald and Evelyn (Karge) Emery. Ed spent his high school years in Spooner, Wis., and graduated in 1981. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and spent 4 years as a field radio operator. After his discharge, he worked in Hayward at Louisiana Pacific for 12 years. He moved to Hastings and worked in the maintenance department at Up North Plastics.

He is survived by one daughter, Emily Emery of Hastings, who was the light of his life; his mother, Evelyn Fiorentino of Rice Lake, Wis.; his father, Gerald Emery of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; two sisters, Glenda Isbell of Sheboygan, Wis., and Tanya Emery-Denman of Clayton, Wis.; three brothers, Billy Emery of Almena, Wis., Tate Emery of Shell Lake, Wis., and Richard (Katie) Fiorentino of Port Washington, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial and graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wis. 800-822-8535.
