The Dakota County Chiefs of Police Association will honor individuals in law enforcement in a special ceremony Friday, Sept. 13, at the Mendakota Country Club in Mendota Heights.
One person being recognized will be the Rev. James Bzoskie of Hastings, who has been the chaplain at the Dakota County Jail in Hastings for more than 34 years. He will receive the "Citizens Award of Excellence" for his dedication and inspiration for the many inmates he has helped throughout the years.
