Crash kills 22-year-old man
A 22-year-old Osakis man was killed in a car crash near Osakis Thursday morning.
Adam Thomas Loxtercamp died at the scene of the crash that happened just before 7 a.m. two miles southeast of Osakis on Todd County Road 51.
He was a passenger in a car driven by Amanda Estrem, 21, of Alexandria, according to the Todd County Sheriff's Office.
Estrem was eastbound turning left when her car was struck by a westbound pickup truck driven by Joachim Wiener, 24, of rural Osakis, according to the sheriff's office.
Estrem and two other passengers, Matthew Henry Jaeger, 24, and Nikkia Marie Radtke, 19, both of Alexandria, suffered injuries, according to the sheriff's office, although the Douglas County Hospital has no record of treating Estrem or Jaeger.
Radtke was transferred to the Hennepin County Medical Center. Her condition was not known as of press time.
Wiener, who was alone in the pickup, was not injured.
The accident is still under investigation.
The Todd County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Osakis Police Department, North Ambulance, Osakis First Responders and Osakis Fire and Rescue.
