Crash injures one person on Fourth Street

Star Gazette photo by Chad Richardson

One woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a rollover crash Wednesday morning on Fourth Street in Hastings. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree on the right, causing the vehicle to roll over. She was trapped inside the vehicle and later freed by members of the Hastings fire and police departments. A Hastings mother was outside and waiting with about 10 school children for the bus when the crash occurred. The mother called in the crash, then directed traffic until officers arrived.
