PUBLIC HEARING & SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
CITY OF MIESVILLE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the City Council, acting as the Planning Commission of the City of Miesville, will hold a series of public hearings beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Council Chambers located at the Fire Hall. A Special meeting of the City Council will immediately follow the public hearings, which include the following purposes:
Hearing No. 1: Consider a variance to Ordinance No. 2002-01 Land Subdivision Regulations to waive the platting requirements for the subdivision of two contiguous parcels of land owned by Wiederholt\'s Supper Club Partnership (Dakota County PIDs 28-01200-65-020 and 28-01200-60-040), to create 20-feet-wide strips of land to be attached to PID 28-01200-60-020 (McCarthy property) and to be attached to PID 28-01200-60-010 (Hoeft property) and to allow an approximately 1.4-acre parcel to be detached from PID 28-01200-65-020 (farmland) and to be attached to PID 28-01200-60-040 (supper club site).The detachment and attachment of newly created parcels will be done consistent with requirements of Dakota County.
Hearing No. 2: Consider amendments to the Miesville 2030 Comprehensive Plan to re-designate land use categories affected by the subdivisions of land and lot reconfigurations described in Hearing No. 1. The 20-feet-wide strips of land will be re-designated from Commercial or Agriculture to Rural Residential and the newly created 1.4-acre parcel will be re-designated from Agriculture to Commercial.
Hearing No. 3: Consider amendments to the Miesville Zoning Ordinance that rezone portions of the land affected by the land subdivisions and lot reconfigurations described in Hearing No. 1. The 20-feet-wide strips of land will be rezoned from Rural Business or Agricultural Preservation to Rural Residential and the newly created 1.4-acre parcel will be rezoned from Agricultural Preservation to Rural Business.
All interested parties are urged to attend this hearing or submit written comments to be read at the hearing.
